Wesak Day Celebration (2012)
This year Wesak Day is celebrated on 5th May 2012.
Program :
- 4th May 2012 – There will be distribution of essential necessities to 300 senior citizens aged 60 years and above. The program commences from 8.30am onwards. Please be punctual with numbered cards for verification.
- 5th May 2012 – Main event commences from :
- 9.30am – Gathering of devotees
- 10.30am – Chanting of Paritta Suttas by the venerable monks
- 11.30am – Offering of food to the venerable monks
- 12.00pm – Vegetarian lunch for devotees
- 8.30 pm - Chanting of the Paritta Suttas by the venerable monks follow by circumambulation of the statue of Lord Buddha.
